Nothing but good newsWhat an Opening Day. The Royals took care of business, thanks to their new additions Gil Meche and Tony Pena. That's not saying they were the only reasons the team won 7-1, but it's great to see the new guys contributing immediately.
There were plenty of top performances that can be found with just a quick glance of the box score. As for the underachievers, it is only one game. There's always tomorrow. That's the thing about baseball, you can't put too much stock in one game...
That being said...Woohoo!! What a game! They sure gave us fans a show! I'm sure the team won't spend their off day celebrating their first win of the season, so they'll have to excuse the rest of us for doing just that.
